As i mentioned in my last post, my independent reading book was "Killer" which is the 6th book in the 'Pretty Little Liars' series. I knew that i would enjoy this book because i love the tv show and the other books, but this story was still much better than i expected. It was full of mystery and drama, and you could never guess what would happen next. I loved how the author Sara Shephard writes her books showing the perspective of all of the four girls, switching in each chapter. It helps me understand what all of the characters are thinking, which gives more information to the reader. I am not going to say anything about what it is about because in their series, anything you say will give something away. I highly suggest this book to anyone that likes mysteries, but you need to start at the first book. I hope some of you have thought about reading this book! does anyone watch the show or have already read the books?

Pretty Little Liars "Killer"
This book "Killer" is the 6th book in Sara Shepard's 'Pretty Little Liars' series. I started the series at the end of 8th grade and decided to finish it this year. I just began this book, and I hope it is as good as the others. In the first chapter so far it has just been a flashback into the girls' past, just to review where the story all began. I chose this series because I started watching the tv show and got obsessed and I heard that there were books too so i had to read them! Sara Shepard does a great job describing the characters and what is going on. I know that this book will have many different surprises and scary moments and i cant wait to find out what they are!
Q: Has anyone else read this series and is it good? (no spoilers please)

Summer Reading Project
My summer reading book was 'Water for Elephants' by Sara Gruen. It is a historical novel, taking place in the 1930s. It is a 93 year old man named Jacob Jankowski who is remembering what his life was like back when he was around 20 years old. He likes to remember these nice times when people were not always trying to assist him in everything he did. Back in the 30s he was going to take his final exams in college hoping to become a veternarian. When he hears that his parents were involved in a car crash, he runs away and hops on a train, which turns out to be a traveling circus.
Everyone on the train is confused by his appearence and are not very nice to him at first. When the owner of the circus, Uncle Al finds out that Jacob went to school training to be a vet, he put him in charge of caring for the animals. Not everyone is very friendly however. Jacob discovers that the head animal trainer August, is very abusive of his animals and his wife Marlena. Marlena is Jacob's love and he knows she deserves better. Jacob muct figure out how to stop August from being a horrible abusive person. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it!!
